Roughriders sign first-round draft pick Justin McInnis

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed first-round draft pick Justin McInnis on Wednesday.

McInnis, a wide receiver who was chosen sixth overall, spent three seasons with the Arkansas State University, hauling in 115 catches for 1,577 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was second on the team last season with 56 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdowns.

The 23-year-old McInnis attended Lindsay Place High School in Pointe Claire, Que., before going to junior college at Dodge City. In his freshman season he had 49 receptions for 964 yards and seven touchdowns.

The team also announced the signing of second-round pick Brayden Lenius, a wide receiver from New Mexico, fourth-round selection Jacob Janke, a linebacker from York, and eighth-round choice Christopher Judge, a linebacker from California Polytechnic.
