CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders signed free agent offensive lineman John Comiskey on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old from Prince Albert, Sask., was originally chosen by the Stampeders in the third round of the 2005 draft and played three seasons in Calgary before being traded to Edmonton.

He spent the past two seasons with the Eskimos, and was Edmonton’s nominee for the outstanding offensive lineman award in 2008.

The Eskimos released him in December.
