MONTREAL — Ronald Hilaire was named head coach of the McGill Redmen football team Tuesday.

Hilaire, 30, had acted as interim co-head coach with offensive co-ordinator Patrick Boies after Clint Uttley stepped down Sept. 14.

The Laval,Que., native joined the Redmen as defensive co-ordinator and defensive line coach in 2014 after three years with the University of Montreal Carabins.
