CANTON, Ohio — When the seven newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are inducted Aug. 2, 90 current members are expected to attend.

The class of 2014 includes Derrick Brooks, Ray Guy, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, Andre Reed, Michael Strahan, and Aeneas Williams.

Among those planning to be on hand is Jim Kelly, the former Buffalo Bills quarterback who is battling cancer.

Hall of Fame President David Baker calls the return of the men with gold jackets a “wonderfully spectacular tradition, one of the greatest in all of sports.”

The list of returnees ranges from such veteran Hall of Famers as Mike Ditka and Jim Otto to recent inductees Bruce Smith and Jonathan Ogden.

Making his annual return to Canton will be halfback Charley Trippi, age 92, from the Hall of Fame’s class of 1968.
