Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch spent his weekend giving back, even if he did it in a typically off-beat way.
The former Seattle Seahawk participated in a Seattle-area charity soccer match hosted by retired Seattle Sounders midfielder Steve Zakuani.
The Sounders posted a video of Lynch’s on-field appearance, which shows his atypical interpretation of soccer’s rules.
Wearing a pair of athletic slides, Lynch, who represented Team Red, jogged up the field, received a pass from his teammate, and promptly picked up the ball and carried it past the goal-line.

Lynch was then shown a red card by the ref, after which the 31-year-old snatched the card from the red’s hand, discarded it, and booted the ball out of action.
The match benefitted Zakuani’s charity, Kingdom Hope.
