Gladys Knight has answered the call to sing The Star-Spangled Banner at this year’s Super Bowl, and there are minus-160 odds favouring a performance longer than 1:45 for the 11th time in 12 years on the Super Bowl prop bets at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

A performer since the age of eight, Knight is expected to deliver a flawless rendition, with minus-500 odds against her forgetting or omitting any words. Knight is also a minus-120 wager to wear a skirt, dress, or gown during her performance.

And while Knight has been the target of criticism from supporters of Colin Kaepernick for agreeing to perform, her performance is not expected to be marred by a protest, with the odds of a player taking a knee during the anthem positioned at a lengthy plus-325.

Super Bowl prop bets for next Sunday are also available on the coin toss. With a 50/50 chance of the coin toss going either way, both heads and tails sport minus-105 odds. However, tails has prevailed in four of the past five years, with the AFC team emerging as Super Bowl champions in three of those contests.

Pop group Maroon 5 will be the headliners at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, joined by Travis Scott and Big Boi. Short plus-170 odds favour the group opening the show with their first-ever No. 1 hit “Makes Me Wonder” on the halftime show betting props, while the total number of songs performed is pegged at 7.5 with minus-120 odds on both the over and the under.

The band’s lead singer Adam Levine is listed as a minus-220 wager to not wear a hat during the show. The odds of Levine performing “Mic Jack” with Big Boi sit at minus-400, despite the song’s explicit lyrics, while Travis Scott is a long plus-170 wager to take a knee during the performance.

Lime/green/yellow is perched as a plus-225 favourite to be the colour of liquid used in the traditional Gatorade shower awaiting the Super Bowl’s winning coach, followed by orange, which is pegged as a plus-300 bet to be the colour of choice for the fifth time in 10 years.

And Donald Trump is once again expected to be active on Twitter. The U.S. president tweeted just twice on Super Sunday last year, but owns minus-120 odds of making his presence felt with over six tweets this year.

The New England Patriots are the favourite on the Super Bowl odds as they prepare to take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL’s championship game in Atlanta.
