A clash between freefalling AFC East rivals is among the action on the NFL Week 9 schedule as the New York Jets visit the winless Miami Dolphins on Sunday as 3-point favourites on the NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

New York is coming off a 29-15 loss in Jacksonville last week, dumping its straight-up record to 1-6 going into Sunday afternoon’s matchup at Hard Rock Stadium.

Overall, the Jets have lost SU in 15 of their past 17 outings, including each of their past four road contests, and now find themselves entering a road contest as betting chalk for the first time since December 2017, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. In addition, New York has averaged just 9.5 points per game during its 0-4 SU run on the road, and is winless SU and against the spread in three visits to Miami.

A front runner to claim the first overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft, the Dolphins continued their freefall with a 27-14 loss in Pittsburgh as 14-point underdogs earlier this week on Monday Night Football, extending their current SU losing streak to 10 games. Miami has fallen to defeat by double-digit margins in six of its seven losses this season, but has rewarded bettors with three straight ATS wins and is a respectable 4-5 SU and 4-4-1 ATS in its past nine while pegged as underdogs of three or fewer points.

Elsewhere on the NFL Week 9 odds at sports betting sites, the Buffalo Bills look to rebound from last weekend’s lopsided 31-13 loss to Philadelphia as 1-point home chalk as they host the woeful Washington Redskins as 9.5-point favourites.

The Bills have fallen to defeat in two of their past three home games, averaging under 15 points per game in those contests, but have claimed victory by double-digit margins in four straight home wins over Washington since 1993. That is bad news for the Redskins, who have averaged just 7.2 points per game over their past five outings, but have earned ATS wins in their past two.

As well, the Seattle Seahawks will try to keep pace with the undefeated San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West standings as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 6-point home favourites, while the 49ers aim to build on a stunning 51-13 rout of the Carolina Panthers as they visit the resurgent Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football as 10-point favourites.

Seattle has fallen to defeat in two of its last three home dates, and faces a Bucs team that has lost three straight but averaged over 30 points per game in four road outings this season.
