Bill Belichick has been known to take an unorthodox approach to gain an edge.

Despite sitting comfortably at 12-3 heading into a Week 17 season finale against the lowly New York Jets, the mind games don’t stop for the New England Patriots head coach.

According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, Belichick asked the field crew at Gillette Stadium to put thermometers in the Jets’ tunnel to remind them how cold it is.

NESN weather reports the temperature in New England feels like a cool minus-5 degrees… Fahrenheit. That makes it minus-22 degrees Celsius for Tom Brady and company on Sunday.

Don’t tell the shorts-and-hoodie-wearing Patriots coach that, though.

A win for the Patriots will give them the first seed in the AFC and home-field advantage in the playoffs.
