Tim Tebow hasn’t been on an NFL roster since 2013, but quarterback coach Tom House claims his throwing motion is fixed.
House, a noted quarterback guru with strong ties to Tom Brady, has been working closely with Tebow over the last 18 months and believes the Heisman Trophy winner can be an effective player if he gets another chance.
The issue with Tebow at the NFL level has been his throwing accuracy–or lack thereof–which is a result of an elongated throwing motion.
According to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Tebow has been working diligently with House in Los Angeles in an effort to refine his skill set.
“He went from being a little inaccurate and didn’t throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball,” House told the Boston Globe.
Tebow reportedly worked out with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, but the team did not offer him a contract.
He has spent the past year as a college football commentator for ESPN but has maintained that he wants another shot at playing quarterback in the NFL.
Tebow last appeared in an NFL training camp before the 2013 season with the New England Patriots. Prior to that, he spent two years with the Denver Broncos and one season with the New York Jets.
One of the most successful college quarterbacks at Florida, Tebow started 14 games for Denver. He threw for 316 yards in a playoff win with the Broncos, who traded him for a fourth-round pick when they signed Peyton Manning.
