New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman will reportedly miss around three weeks with a finger injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates.

Edelman, the Super Bowl LIII MVP, was seen with a small brace on his left thumb during his youth camp on the weekend.

Details of how the injury occurred weren’t available, but it’s yet another blow to a Patriots offence who is also without retired tight end Rob Gronkowski along with injured wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and running back Sony Michel.

The 33-year-old Edelman is an 11-year NFL veteran who caught 74 passes for 850 yards and six touchdowns last season.

He reportedly signed a two-year contract extension during the off-season to remain with New England.

The Patriots open training camp on Thursday.
