Only two races into the Formula One season, and concern is already starting to set in for Red Bull Racing.
Team advisor Helmut Marko confirmed that the team will be looking to address the various struggles the team is dealing with.
"This week there is a meeting in Milton Keynes to discuss when and how we can close the gap," Marko told Sky DE, per Racing News 365. "Until then, it's about scoring as many points as possible.
"We are worried, but it is not like we are throwing in the towel."
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen finished fourth in the Chinese Grand Prix while Liam Lawson crossed the line in 15th before a trio of disqualifications bumped him up to 12th.
It has been concerning for Red Bull to see Lawson struggle to find his confidence to start the season. He crashed out of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and finished last in qualifying in both races in Shanghai.
Team principal Christian Horner was noncommital about Lawson's future in the Red Bull car, with reports suggesting the team is considering a switch with Yuki Tsunoda getting moved up from Racing Bulls.
“There’s always going to be speculation in the paddock. As I say, we’ve only just finished the race here," Horner said after the Chinese GP. "We’ll take away the info and have a good look at it.
“I think Liam still has got potential, we’re just not realizing that at the moment. I think the problem for him is he’s had a couple of really tough weekends and he’s got all the media on his back.
“The pressure just naturally grows in this business. I feel very sorry for him that he’s … you can see it’s very tough on him at the moment."
