The banner year for Canadian golf continued Sunday when Canada's Nick Taylor and Corey Conners both advanced to the Tour Championship after securing a top-30 finish in the FedEx Cup standings.
It is the first time that more than one Canadian has advanced to the 30-man finale since the Fed Ex Cup was introduced back in 2007.
Conners secured his spot by tying for 10th at the BMW Championship Sunday. Taylor struggled to a 47th-place finish, but it was still enough to book his spot in the Tour Championship.
The Tour Championship will be held Aug. 24-27 at East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta.
Conners will head into the final 19th in the FedEx Cup standings, while Taylor comes in just behind his fellow Canuck in 22nd place.
Scottie Scheffler heads into East Lake atop the FedEx Cup standings.
The winner of the Tour Championship will take home $18 million.
