ATLANTA — Louis Oosthuizen withdrew from the Tour Championship after 13 holes because of soreness in his right hamstring.
Oosthuizen was No. 29 in the FedEx Cup and had little chance of capturing the $10 million bonus.
The South African said he began having trouble with his hamstring Sunday and had treatment and rest before coming to East Lake. He only walked the course on Tuesday and Wednesday and felt fine in the opening round for about six holes. He felt his swing changing because of the leg on the 14th hole and decided to stop.
Oosthuizen said he would get treatment in Florida.
He said he would have to let International captain Nick Price know next week if he can be 100 per cent for the Presidents Cup on Oct. 8-11.
