Veteran forward Alex Galchenyuk is returning to Arizona after signing a one-year contract with the Coyotes.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Galchenyuk has been in camp with the Coyotes on a professional tryout.
“We are very pleased to sign Alex,” general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement. “He is a versatile, skilled forward who works hard and has earned a spot on our roster. He will be a good addition to our team.”

Galchenyuk, who spent time with the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs last season, last played for the Coyotes in 2018-19 when he had 41 points (19 goals, 22 assists) in 71 games.
The Milwaukee native has 333 points (140 goals, 193 assists) in 583 career NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, Coyotes, Maple Leafs and Senators.
The 27-year-old Galchenyuk was taken third overall by the Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Draft.
