Fresh off a sensational World Juniors, 17-year-old phenom Connor Bedard continues to put the hockey world on notice with his play for the WHL's Regina Pats.
His latest spectacle was a four-point performance on Sunday in a 6-4 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers. Bedard picked up his fifth hat trick of the season and dished out an assist, putting his fingerprints on all four goals for Regina.
The hat trick gives Bedard 20 goals over his past nine games for the Pats and 42 on the season. He also extended his point streak to 33 games in the loss.
Bedard's most impressive goal of the game was his first, as on the power play, he absolutely undressed a Tigers defender before wiring one top-shelf for his 40th of the year.
The Pats took a 4-2 lead into the third period, but the Tigers would score four third-period goals to take the game 6-4.
BEDARD'S SEASON TOTALS: 34 GP, 42 G, 43 A, 85 Pts.
PATS' RECORD: 22-21-2 (Eighth place in Eastern Conference)
UP NEXT: The Pats head to Red Deer for a date with the Rebels on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
