The NWHL’s Toronto Six have made a major addition to their coaching staff, hiring Hall of Famer Angela James as an assistant coach.

James was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010 after a playing career that included four World Championship gold medals.
The Toronto Six will be coached by Mark Joslin next season after Digit Murphy guided the team, in its inaugural season, to the Isobel Cup playoffs.
Murphy, who remains team president, said she’s excited to work with “an all time great” next season.
“As an ambassador of the game and Hall of Famer, the perspective and hockey knowledge that she brings to our team is amazing,” Murphy said in a statement. “Her presence in the Toronto 6IX will shed even more light and amplify our message of empowerment inclusion and education both on and off the ice.”
