Hockey Canada revealed on Wednesday the 25 players who will don the red and white for the national team's first three games of the 2024-25 Rivalry Series.
According to the organization, general manager Gina Kingsbury, head coach Troy Ryan and senior manager of player development and scouting Cherie Piper selected the three goaltenders, eight defence and 14 forwards, with input from assistant coaches Kori Cheverie, Caroline Ouellette and Britni Smith, as well as goaltending consultant Brad Kirkwood.

The roster features two players, Primerano and Watts, who will make their national women’s team debuts, along with 21 players who helped Canada win its 13th gold medal at the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship last April.
“The 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship is only six months away, and getting a look at our team and roster depth begins with these first three games,” said Kingsbury in Hockey Canada's news release. “These teams know each other very well, but we still have an opportunity to build on what we worked on at September camp as we evaluate ourselves now and throughout the season.”
The Rivalry Series kicks off on Nov. 6 in San Jose, Calif., followed by games on Nov. 8 in West Valley City, Utah, and Nov. 10 in Boise, Idaho. The final two games will take place in Atlantic Canada in February — Halifax, N.S., on the 6th and Summerside, P.E.I., on the 8th.
Canada has won the Rivalry Series in back-to-back seasons and has a 15-13 record over the U.S. since the competition started in 2018-19.
