Celebrini pots two quick goals as Boston University tops Boston College

Freshman Macklin Celebrini scored a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes to help the Boston University Terriers take down the Boston College Eagles in a 4-3 win on Monday and advance to the Beanpot finals.

Celebrini sent a wrist shot past Eagles goalie Jacob Fowler on the rush for his first tally exactly four minutes into the game, and followed that up with a one-time blast for a power-play goal just over two minutes later.

The 17-year-old is widely projected as most likely to be the first-overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Luke Tuch, younger brother of Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch, and Ryan Greene also scored for the Terriers.

BU never trailed in the contest as it built a 4-1 lead early in the third before the Eagles got back into the game with a pair of tallies.

The Terriers held on to improve to 18-7-1 on the year and will take on Northeastern in the finals on Feb. 12.
