MONTREAL — Canadian world junior goalie Jake Allen will be returning to a new team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Montreal Juniors traded Allen to the Drummondville Voltigeurs Wednesday in exchange for first-round draft picks in 2010 and 2011.

The 19-year-old Allen is a second-round pick of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues. He was 11-11-0 with a 2.66 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage in 23 starts for Montreal this season.

Allen also won a silver medal with the Canadian world junior team in Saskatoon.

The QMJHL’s trade period ends Thursday at noon.
