Reid Boucher scored four goals as the Sarnia Sting beat the visiting Ottawa 67’s 5-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Boucher has scored 14 goals in his last 12 games and now has 35 goals in 43 games, which leads the OHL.
Craig Duininck also scored for the Sting (25-15-3), who won for the first time in three outings, while Charles Sarault chipped in with three assists.
Sarault now has 51 assists in 43 games, which is best in the OHL, and his 66 points is second in league scoring behind Seth Griffith of the London Knights, who has 71 points in 44 games.
Dante Salituro scored the lone goal for the 67’s (12-30-3), who are winless in three contests.
Knicholas Dawe made 14 saves for the win as Jacob Blair stopped 29-of-34 shots for Ottawa.
Sarnia went 1 for 5 on the power play while Ottawa failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.
Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Sudbury 4, Peterborough 3 (SO); Plymouth 4, Erie 3 (OT); Belleville 4, Windsor 3 (SO); Sault Ste. Marie 3, Mississauga 1; Saginaw 5, London 2; Barrie 5, Niagara 1 and Owen Sound 7, Kingston 0.
At Sarnia, Ont., Boucher gave the Sting a 1-0 lead just 1:51 into the game and he scored again on the power play at 7:02 to give his club a two-goal lead after 20 minutes of play.
Duininck scored 6:36 into the second period and Boucher added his third goal of the game at 17:14 to make it 4-0 heading into the third period.
Boucher scored his fourth goal of the night at 14:13 before Salituro broke Dawe’s shutout bid with just 2:37 left in the game.

At Peterborough, Ont., Dominik Kahun scored the only goal of the shootout and Nathan Pancel scored twice in regulation time as Sudbury (20-16-7) improved to 9-0-3 in its last 12 games by downing the Petes (12-24-7).

At Plymouth, Mich., Ryan Hartman scored three times, including the winner 20 seconds into overtime, and Vincent Trocheck added three assists as the Whalers (21-13-8) slipped past Erie (14-22-7).

At Belleville, Ont., Joseph Cramarossa had the shootout winner and Charlies Graham turned away 30-of-33 shots in regulation as the Bulls (24-12-5) edged Windsor (15-19-7) for their third win in a row.

At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Tyler Gaudet’s goal at 7:36 of the third period held up as the winner and David Broll had a goal and an assist as the Greyhounds (22-18-3) beat Mississauga (20-17-4), which is winless in four outings.

At Saginaw, Mich., Garret Ross had two goals and as assist and Jake Paterson stopped 30-of-32 shots as the Spirit (20-19-5) handed London (35-6-3) its first regulation-time loss since Nov. 1, a span of 29 games.
