Generals’ Laughton suspended 10 games

TORONTO — Oshawa Generals forward Scott Laughton and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds forward Landon Schiller were handed 10-game suspensions by the Ontario Hockey League on Friday.

The supplemental discipline stems from incidents in games played earlier this week. Both players were originally given five-minute majors and game misconducts for checking to the head infractions.

Laughton was penalized in Oshawa’s 4-3 win over the Ottawa 67s on Wednesday night.

The incident involving Schiller occurred in the Greyhounds’ 5-1 loss to the Niagara IceDogs on Thursday evening.
