Who owns the Syracuse Crunch?

Owns! Owns!

The AHL’s Syracuse Crunch are partaking in the honoured tradition of celebrating Slap Shot, the greatest hockey movie of all-time, by wearing the classic white, blue and gold jerseys of the Charlestown Chiefs.

No word on if any of the players also put on the foil.

They picked a great game to do it in too, as the Crunch take on their division rival Toronto Marlies.

And taking it a step further, the team hit the ice without their helmets and each player sporting the ‘Hanson Brothers Glasses.’

The two teams hit the ice, went through warmups, and stood for the national anthems without incident.

It’s a great night to be at the arena to watch the top two North Division teams go at it. So sit back and grab a grape or an orange pop. But none of that stinkin’ root beer.
