Alex Stalock, a 28-year-old, long-time NHL backup, has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild that will pay him $650,000 in the NHL.

If Stalock goes to the AHL, he will be paid $300,000.

Stalock played 13 games with the San Jose Sharks last season, posting an .884 save percentage and 2.94 GAA before being dealt to Toronto, where he played three games with the Marlies before the team sent him home.

The goalie had spent his entire career in the Sharks organization since they drafted him 112th overall in the 2005 NHL Draft.
