Anaheim Ducks forward Dustin Penner didn’t like the high hit Dallas Stars forward Ryan Garbutt landed on him Sunday. Garbutt appeared to leave his feet on the open-ice hit that knocked Penner out.

Penner was assisted off the ice on wobbly skates early in the second period of the Ducks’ 6-3 win over the Stars after the collision.

The 31-year-old fell to the ice and was motionless for a short while before coming to and being helped to the dressing room by teammates and medical staff.

After the game, Penner took to Twitter to respond to some hockey fans who thought there was nothing wrong with the hit.

Garbutt was offered an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for the hit, which gives the league the option to suspend him for six or more games.

The extent of Penner’s injury is not yet known and it’s uncertain how many games he’ll miss, if any.
