Arizona Coyotes surprise fan with a team visit

The Arizona Coyotes made photo day extra special for one of their biggest fans.

Devon Cordova thought he was going to Gila River Arena for a tour, but the team had a lot more in store for him that day.

Devon has autism, and his mother credits watching the Coyotes with bringing him out of his shell. She says their family “lives Coyotes daily” because of it.

Devon could hardly hold back tears when he found out he was actually there to meet his favourite team. He even received a custom jersey to ensure he looked the part.

Next up, fist bumps and selfies.

Meeting his hero: Shane Doan.

He’d waited a long time for this.

Devon walked away with new friends and a lifetime of memories.

And, of course, tickets to the next night’s game.

Stick tap to the Coyotes for this incredible gesture.
