Avalanche sign RFA Andre Burakovsky to one-year deal

Restricted free agent Andre Burakovsky signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche on Monday for the upcoming season.

Colorado acquired the forward from the Washington Capitals on June 28 in exchange for forward Scott Kosmachuk along with 2020 second-round and third-round draft picks.

Burakovsky scored 12 goals last season for the Capitals over 76 games and also helped the team win a Stanley Cup in 2018.

He has 62 goals and 83 assists in 328 career NHL games.

The Austrian was a first-round pick of Washington in 2013.
