Ben Bishop starts Game 3 for Lightning

Lightning goalie Ben Bishop says he feels like Marshawn Lynch as he avoids tipping his hand on whether he'll play Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final or not.

After a couple days of uncertainty surrounding the status of his health, Tampa Bay goalie Ben Bishop will start Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final.

Bishop left Game 2 twice. The first time he left for only a brief moment, but the second time he left he did not return and backup Andrei Vasilevskiy finished the win for Tampa Bay.

Bishop is 12-9 with three shutouts, a .918 save percentage and 2.20 goals-against average in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs. Last year he was injured for Tampa Bay’s first round series against Montreal and the Lightning were swept in four games.

Originally there was speculation Bishop was injured in Game 2 on this play where Antoine Vermette collided with him beside the net.
