The Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues have made it official what they’ll wear in this year’s Winter Classic.
As expected, both teams went with a throwback look, with the Hawks going back to the 1950s, and the Blues going for their 1967 expansion look.
Here’s a first look at the Hawks look.
As for St. Louis, according to a press release from the team: “The Blues’ Winter Classic uniform is a re-creation of the club’s inaugural look from the 1967-68 season. The gear features historically-accurate fonts and team striping, a ribbed crewneck collar, the vintage blue color and the original Blue Note crest from the first season, making this an authentic design to create a true outdoor game original.”
This year’s Winter Classic will take place January 2 at Busch Stadium, home to MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals.
