Blackhawks sign first-round pick Kirby Dach to entry-level contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed 2019 first-round pick Kirby Dach to a three-year entry-level contract.

The contract carries an average annual value of $925,000 at the NHL level.

Dach, 18, was the third-overall pick in June’s NHL Draft. A centre, he spent last season with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades, where he had 25 goals and 73 points in 62 games. He added five goals and eight points in 10 playoff games.

The St. Albert, Alta., native will be one of 43 skaters at Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team development camp later this month.
