Blue Jackets’ Bobrovsky leaves game with apparent injury

Watch as Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky is forced to leave the game against the Los Angeles Kings with an undisclosed injury.

The Columbus Blue Jackets coughed up a 2-0 lead versus the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday night to fall by a final score of 3-2 in overtime.

The Blue Jackets may have suffered a greater loss than just the game, too. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky left the game late in the third period with an apparent injury.

The team did not offer any specifics on the nature of the former Vezina Trophy winner’s ailment, but he will be re-evaluated Wednesday.

Bobrovsky had stopped 33-of-34 shots in just over 54 minutes of work versus the Kings before he was forced to exit. Curtis McElhinney relieved Bobrovsky and allowed two goals on seven shots.

Bobrovsky is 11-12-1 on the season with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
