Blue Jackets fan wears Werenski’s face, gets signed sweater

John Tortorella wasn’t too happy after Zach Werenski was taken out of the play by a Phil Kessel shot to the mouth that lead to the Penguins tying the game.

Move over Dart Guy, a new superfan is making waves with his own unique fashion choices.

A man in attendance of Game 4 of the Columbus Blue JacketsPittsburgh Penguins series has shown up wearing a shirt with the scuzzied-up face of Blue Jackets rookie Zach Werenski, who was hit with a puck in Game 3.

He quickly caught the attention of cameras, and eventually Werenski himself, who adorned the fan with a signed sweater.

Werenski has been shut down for the playoffs, ending a fine first year in the NHL for the 19-year-old.

His bruised face will live on however, both in lore and in a blend of cotton and polyester.
