The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Anthony Duclair to a one-year deal worth $650,000, according to multiple reports.
This is the fourth team of Duclair’s young career. The forward has seen his stock fall since a productive rookie season in 2015-16, which saw him register 20 goals and 44 points in 81 games with the Arizona Coyotes after being dealt to the desert by the New York Rangers.
The 22-year-old was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in January and tallied two goals and eight points in 23 games with the club. He was not extended a qualifying offer, which allowed him to hit unrestricted free agency on July 1.
In 213 career regular season games, Duclair has posted 37 goals and 89 points.
It’s been a busy day for Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen, as he also inked RFA winger Boone Jenner to a four-year extension on Thursday.
