St. Louis Blues forward Steve Ott has been diagnosed with Colitis and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced Wednesday night.
The Blues said that Ott is being treated by Dr. William Birenbaum of Washington University Orthopedics Center.
Ott, 33, has missed the past 53 games after undergoing hamstring surgery on Dec. 6.
The veteran forward is in his second season with St. Louis after the club acquired him in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres in March of 2014.
In 21 games this season, Ott recorded two assists with 34 penalty minutes.
