St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist has been fined $7,392.47, the maximum amount allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for charging Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson, the Department of Player Safety announced Sunday.

Sundqvist ran into Gibson at 9:51 in the second period of the Blues’ 4-1 loss to the Ducks as the goaltender went to play the puck behind the net, sparking a scrum between the two teams.

The 25-year-old was given penalties for charging and roughing.

Sundqvist has seven points in 21 games with the Blues this season.
