The St. Louis Blues will be without Robert Thomas for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Bruins on Wednesday, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
Thomas stayed down on the ice after taking a thunderous hit from Boston’s Torey Krug midway through the third period of Game 1 and didn’t take another shift for the remainder of the contest.
But according to Blues head coach Craig Berube, Thomas’ injury has “nothing to do” with Krug’s hit.

The 19-year-old rookie centre has recorded one goal and five assists in 20 post-season games for the Blues.
Forward Robby Fabbri, who participated in morning skate, will likely take Thomas’ place in the lineup.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Blues defenceman Vince Dunn, who hasn’t played since Game 3 of the Western Conference Final with an upper-body injury, skated alongside Michael Del Zotto as an extra defence pairing. He’ll remain out of the lineup for Game 2.
