The St. Louis Blues have signed defenceman Jordan Schmaltz to a two-year deal ahead of Friday’s start to training camp.

The deal is two-way in the first year, worth $700,000 in the NHL and $150,000 in the AHL. The second year of the deal is one-way worth $700,000.

Schmaltz, 24, recorded one assist in 13 regular-season games for the Blues last season, while racking up five goals and 23 points in 31 contests for the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage.
