The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Erik Foley to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced on Thursday.

The deal will begin with the 2018-19 season.

Foley was acquired by St. Louis in a trade with the Jets that saw Winnipeg acquire centre Paul Stastny. The 20-year-old just wrapped up his third season at Providence College, during which Foley led the team with 16 goals and 35 points in 38 regular-season games.

The Mansfield, Mass., native was selected by the Jets in the third round (78th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
