The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Klim Kostin to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Kostin was drafted 31st overall at the 2017 NHL Draft, a pick obtained in the trade that sent Ryan Reaves to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Russian was released from his contract with Moscow Dynamo of the KHL on Tuesday, freeing him to sign a deal with St. Louis.
The 18-year-old had no points and 28 penalty minutes in eight games with Moscow this past season.
