Bruce Boudreau will be back as the Minnesota Wild‘s head coach next season, GM Paul Fenton confirmed Tuesday.

“Bruce [Boudreau] is my coach next year. I have total confidence in him,” Fenton said, per the team. “If you look at his track record, it’s amazing … he’s going to be the guy that’s going to lead us back to where we want to go.”

The Wild finished the 2018-19 season seven points out of a wild-card spot with 83 to their name, sitting behind Arizona and Chicago at season’s end.

More to come.
