The 25-year-old has been a consistent offensive threat from the back end and an excellent power-play quarterback since the undrafted free agent joined the team back in 2013. He had a career high 44 points in 81 games last season. The Livonia, Mich., native underwent shoulder surgery on April 21 and his expected recovery time was six months.
The team placed veteran Dennis Seidenberg on waivers earlier in the day for the purpose of a buyout to make it easier for this Krug deal to come together.
