Canadiens acquire Gustav Olofsson from Wild for Will Bitten

The Montreal Canadiens have traded forward Will Bitten to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for defenceman Gustav Olofsson.

Olofsson, 23, had eight assists in 41 games with Minnesota last season and will report to AHL Laval.

He was drafted 46th overall in 2013.

Bitten was the Canadiens’ third-round pick in 2016, taken 70th overall.

The 20-year-old had 20 goals and 64 points in 62 games last season with the OHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
