Montreal Canadiens forward Colby Armstrong is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury, according to Habs coach Michel Therrien.
In Monday’s 4-1 Canadiens’ win over the Carolina Hurricanes, Armstrong collided with Patrick Dwyer in the third period and left the game.
Armstrong, who has had been plagued with injuries since leaving the Atlanta Thrashers in 2010, has played just 114 games in the last three NHL seasons.
This year, Armstrong has registered two goals, three assists, 12 penalty minutes and just over 11 minutes in ice time per game in 35 contests.
The 30-year-old signed a one-year deal worth $1 million with the Canadiens last summer after being bought out by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
