The Montreal Canadiens have sent defenceman Victor Mete to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

Mete has skated in 23 games with Montreal in 2018-19, registering four assists. The 20-year-old made his NHL debut last season, tallying seven assists in 49 contests.
I don’t think it’ll be long before Mete returns to the Canadiens. Hope is that some time with Joel Bouchard—and a steady role as a top dman in Laval—get him back to being the player we all know he can be. He’s not far off, anyway.

Montreal’s blue line was bolstered earlier this week with captain Shea Weber returning from injury.
