Paul Byron is still dealing with a lower-body injury and won’t be ready to return to the Montreal Canadiens lineup for at least another three games.

Canadiens head coach Claude Julien told reporters that Byron, as expected, would miss Saturday’s home contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but also that he won’t be with the team for back-to-back road games against the Islanders on Monday and Rangers on Tuesday.

Byron sustained his injury during a 4-1 loss to the Stars this past Tuesday during which he logged just 8:41 of ice time.

The 29-year-old has four goals and seven points through 11 games this season. He’s in the final year of his current contract before the four-year, $13.6-million extension he inked in September kicks in next season.
