Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia will miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a right knee injury, the team announced Thursday.
Armia suffered the injury in Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers during a knee-on-knee collision with Rangers defenceman Brendan Smith.
Armia, 25, has three goals and seven points in 15 games with the Canadiens this season. Forward Kenny Agostino was recalled from AHL Laval to replace Armia in the lineup.
