Kenny Agostino is going home.

The Morristown, N.J., native has been claimed off waivers by the New Jersey Devils from the Montreal Canadiens.

Agostino, 26, has two goals and 11 points in 36 games with the Canadiens this season. In 58 career games with the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins and Canadiens, the left-winger has four goals and 17 points.

With Agostino now off the roster, the Canadiens announced Monday that newly re-acquired forward Dale Weise had been recalled from AHL Laval.

Weise and defenceman Christian Folin were acquired by Montreal on Saturday from the Philadelphia Flyers for David Schlemko and Byron Froese.

The 30-year-old Weise spent three seasons in Montreal from 2013-16, scoring 27 goals and 59 points in 152 games with the Canadiens.
