Montreal Canadiens forward Michael McCarron will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery, the team announced on Thursday.
McCarron, 23, has played all of the 2018-19 season with the AHL’s Laval Rocket, scoring seven goals and 21 points in 32 games.
A first-round pick (25th overall) in 2015, McCarron has eight points in 69 career games with the Canadiens.
