Canadiens’ Noah Juulsen out indefinitely with facial fracture

It was a tough first period for Noah Juulsen as he took two pucks to the face in the exact same spot.

Canadiens defenceman Noah Juulsen is sidelined indefinitely with a facial fracture, the team announced on Tuesday.

Juulsen was injured after being struck by a puck in the face twice during Monday night’s game against the Washington Capitals. He will remain in Montreal for further evaluation while the team heads out on a two-game road trip.

Through 17 games with the Canadiens this year, the 21-year-old has one goal, four assists, and a plus-3 rating.
