The Montreal Canadiens have placed backup goalie Keith Kinkaid on waivers, the team announced Monday.

The 30-year-old is sporting a 4.24 goals-against average and .875 save percentage across six games with the Canadiens this season.

The seven-year NHL veteran has a 64-55-17 record with a .906 save percentage and 2.90 GAA over the course of his career.

Kinkaid spent most of six seasons with the New Jersey Devils prior to signing a one-year, $1.75-million contract with Montreal on July 1.

He was dealt to the Columbus Blue Jackets ahead of the 2019 trade deadline, but did not make an appearance.
