Canadiens sign forward Cameron Hillis to three-year, entry-level deal

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Cameron Hillis to a three-year, entry-level contract starting next season, the team announced Tuesday.

The club did not disclose the value of the deal, which will run from 2020-21 to 2022-23.

The five-foot-10, 171-pound centre finished second in points on the OHL’s Guelph Storm this season with 83 points in 62 games.

The 19-year-old from Oshawa, Ont., has recorded 164 points across 155 games since making his junior debut with the Storm in 2017-18.

Hillis was selected by the Canadiens in the third round (66th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
